The Gaulish village, a human adventure <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Born out of a passion for history, this village is a story of friendship led by Jean-Luc Blanchard, the founder and current director of the site. It was while updating the archaeological map of Volvestre that he discovered an archaeological treasure in the Garonne. This discovery fuelled his imagination and gave him the idea of creating something bigger, a Gallic village. Thus was born the idea for this unique place that allows everyone to travel back in time. A project that took shape in an exceptional natural setting and which continues to thrive today thanks to the passion and commitment of an entire team. The Gallic Village invites young and old alike to immerse themselves in a living journey through time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet the artisans of the Gallic Village and discover their ancestral skills through woodworking, basketry, pottery, blacksmithing, weaving, copperware, leatherwork, bronzework, coinage, goldsmithing and felting.
