South of Toulouse, you’ll find a variety of exhibitions throughout the Volvestre area: sculpture, painting, photography, there’s something for everyone. Several towns offer venues where you can view them.
Different areas are covered, such as art with our local artisans and artists , culture that traces our history, not to mention conferences and meetings with exhibitors and authors.

Meeting African art.
Did you know that you can discover African art by visiting Volvestre?
The SCAC Marestaing, located on the heights of Montesquieu-Volvestre, is an artist residency that welcomes African sculptors for a six-week stay during the summer. During this stay, each artist creates contemporary works of art that are exhibited on site. Afterwards, one of them will remain to forever mark their time in Volvestre.

Works throughout the Volvestre!
Meschia is more than a ceramic artist, he’s a cera-poetic artist! Sylvian is in love with the earth and what it conveys, whether it comes from here or elsewhere. Through his works, he pays homage to it. His works welcome you as soon as you exit the motorway at Carbonne on the roundabout and take you to Rieux-Volvestre, on the facades of the town and within his workshop.
Sylvian Meschia welcomes you to the Giméras farm, facing the Pyrenees that he loves deeply. He will tell you about the stages of creating his ceramics in his workshop. Also a painter, you can admire his many works in his exhibition room.

A colorful and bucolic atmosphere welcomes you!
Radiant and friendly, Sandrine sculpts her Raku with the inspiration of distant travels. Koi carp, colorful tea sets, birds from South America… But it is in Volvestre that she flourishes! Earth and fire guide her in her unique creations. A lover of nature, she also uses plants and wood chips
Visit her workshop and gallery located in the heart of the bastide town of Montesquieu-Volvestre where she regularly invites other artists.

Susanna Magalhaes invites you to her SM Art Gallery located in the heart of the city of Rieux-Volvestre. This artist has a passion for art history and takes you on a journey through the ages through her works, whether ancient or modern.
Do you have a work, a piece of furniture, or an object to restore? Susanna will enhance it while respecting its authenticity and history, using traditional restoration techniques.

Discovering the art of Laurent Lafontas.
Laurent Lafontas, sculptor, now exhibits year-round in his art gallery in the heart of Carbonne.
Laurent explores different materials to sculpt multiple forms, including facial expressions, one of his favorite subjects.
Opening hours: Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

summer exhibition in St-Sulpice-sur-Lèze
A meeting with art and crafts.
The Tourist Welcome and Summer Exhibition opens its doors at the Hôtel Boutaud in Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze from June 21 to August 31. Discover the talents of local creators and artisans and their many works during a free exhibition open every day , except Tuesdays.
This year, nearly forty local exhibitors come to share their talent and creations. You will find regulars there but also new creators.
Isabelle Viard, numerologist and holistic therapist will offer numerology workshops, by appointment.

A gateway to local artists and artisans.
The Rieux-Volvestre municipal gallery welcomes local artists and artisans every two months. Painting, photography, sewing… A wild parade of expertise takes place all year round in this public space, which welcomes you free of charge. Would
