JOURNÉES AGRICOLES DU VOLVESTRE

Come and join us at the Volvestre Agricultural Days on 18, 19 and 20 September 2026 in Montesquieu-Volvestre!

Organised in partnership with the Volvestre Community of Communes and the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council, the Volvestre Agricultural Days form part of the Territorial Food Project (PAT) and pay tribute to the people who keep our agricultural sector thriving.

It’s three days of meetings, discoveries and a friendly atmosphere centred on agriculture, livestock farming and local food.

Established in 1957, the Volvestre Agricultural Days have become an unmissable event in the region. Held every three years, this iconic event attracts up to 20,000 visitors, features over 300 animals in competitions and brings together around a hundred exhibitors. Over three days, farmers, livestock breeders, producers, craftspeople and the general public come together to celebrate local agriculture, discover the region’s traditional skills and enjoy a convivial atmosphere centred on rural life.

Highlights of the three days:
Friday 18 September
- Opening of the event
- Limousin regional cattle show
- Screening of the film *Rural* in the presence of its director and Jérôme Bayle

Saturday 19 September
- Departmental and inter-departmental cattle shows
- Official opening
- Culinary demonstrations
- Grand festive meal in the market hall

Sunday 20 September
- Discovery walk
- Culinary demonstrations
- Final of the ‘À table avec les légumineuses du Volvestre’ competition
- Presentation of the champion cattle.
