Three days of sharing, discovery and activities dedicated to agriculture, livestock farming and local food.
Since their inception in 1957, the Journées Agricoles du Volvestre have established themselves as a major event that brings the local community together. Held every three years, this iconic event attracts up to 20,000 visitors, features more than 300 animals in competition and brings together around a hundred exhibitors.
For three days, farmers, livestock breeders, producers, craftspeople and visitors come together to celebrate local agriculture, showcase the traditional skills of the Volvestre region and enjoy a friendly atmosphere in the heart of the countryside.

The 2026 edition, on the theme ‘Eat well, eat local’
Organised with the support of the Volvestre Community of Communes and the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council, the Volvestre Agricultural Days form part of the Territorial Food Project (PAT) and celebrate the men and women who keep local agriculture thriving.

Cattle Division
📍Esplanade Nord
Cattle breed competitions, animal displays, activities centred on milk, discussions with farmers and the presentation of the champions.
Equine Centre
📍Rue des Cyprès du Perdou
Equestrian shows, draught horses, timber hauling, horse-drawn carriages, an introduction to different horse breeds, and entertainment for all ages.


Sheep Division
📍Parc du Couloumé
Breed presentations, shearing demonstrations, lamb feeding, tastings and activities centred on wool.
Goat Farming Division

A tour of the goat farms and discussions with the farmers.


Poultry Division
📍Sous le chapiteau – Esplanade Nord
An introduction to breeds of poultry, rabbits and pigeons, breeding advice and the sale of animals.
Working Dogs Division

Demonstrations of herding, search and rescue, obedience and working dogs.

Do you enjoy cooking?
Imagine a savoury or sweet recipe showcasing pulses from the Volvestre region and try your luck at winning the competition taking place on Sunday 20 September.
How can I take part ?
- Please submit your recipe by 5 September 2026 ;
- A shortlist will be drawn up to select six finalists ;
- The finalists will take part in a public final on 20 September.
The dishes will be judged by a panel chaired by vegetarian chef Florence Oustau, who will award prizes to the most delicious and original recipes.

As part of the Local Food Project (PAT), the Volvestre Community of Communes is offering a range of educational activities for schools.
Learning about food through play
With CuisinYsée, Year 4 and Year 5 pupils take part in fun 30-minute workshops centred on cooking and food: discovering vegetables, stimulating the senses, reading food labels, the link between emotions and food, and the journey from seed to plate.
Discover food through cooking
Explore sustainable cooking – Les Jardins du Volvestre are offering a sustainable cooking workshop, where you can make and taste spreads made from pulses!
Raising awareness through laughter
The Elefanto theatre company presents a clown show for young audiences that combines humour, poetry and awareness-raising about food, suitable for children aged 4 and over.
