Latrape – Boucle “Le Trapéen”

Between the view of the Pyrenees and those of the hillsides, the Latrape loop has a lot to offer you.

Classified for the quality of its sky, Latrape is the commune of Volvestre with the most incredible panorama, combining a clear view of the Pyrenees with a perfect sky with colors at nightfall.

Mailholas – Boucle de la Chapelle

A short hike along paths, this trail offers 360° views of the Volvestre hillsides and the Pyrenees on a clear day.

Don’t miss the chapel, a lovely remnant of the time. The association “Les clés du Prieuré” invit band to do superb concerts. At its feet, you can admire the hillsides, the Pyrenees, and even an educational panel about the many orchids that populate the town!

Montaut – Boucle de la Saint-Barthélémy

Perched on the heights of Volvestre, the village of Montaut dominates the surrounding area. This family-friendly loop offers superb views of the Pyrenees, the Garonne Valley, and the Lèze River.

Listed in the Departmental Plan for Itinerances, Walks and Hikes, you will find an information panel at the departure and a superb orientation table hidden behind the town hall to discover the name of each peak of the Pyrenees.

A bucolic getaway on the paths and ridge roads from which you will admire the panorama at the Castera orientation table on the Pyrenees mountain , then on the Arize and the hillsides of Volvestre.

With the orientation table, you will know all names of each peak !

montgazin – le circuit des collines

From the start, this hike offers views of the waves of the surrounding fields with the Pyrenees mountain facing you. This route takes you through expanses of cereal fields, so bring your hat!

The path also passes close to the Château de Lastronques and its vineyards, or close to typical farms with local peasant architecture

Saint-Christaud – Chemin de COume Torte

Saint-Christaud offers a hike through pastures, surrounded by cows in the summer. Between the ascent and descent, you’ll admire the hills and valleys, finally enjoying a view of the Pyrenees mountain.

The church, perched on its promontory, is an exceptional architecture not to be missed. Although impenetrable, the entrance door alone takes us on a journey as we pass through it!

saint-sulpice-sur-lèze – La boucle de Pesquiès

This loop takes you to the hillsides of the village, offering you an exceptional view from the Pesquiès mill over the village of Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze and the Pyrenees mountain, as well as the Bures mill (water mill). An educational trail teaches you the secrets of the different environments crossed during the hike.
