Montesquieu-Volvestre
The unusual Saint-Victor church, the huge market hall and its arcades, the half-timbered houses, the Toulouse brick: here, everything speaks to us of the past. Stroll along the riverbanks of the Arize, passing by the mills and Couloumé Park.
Are you feeling adventurous? Climb up to Castéra, with its calvary and orientation table, and take in the whole city and its architecture.
All around you, discover the hills of Volvestre and, in good weather, the panoramic view of the Pyrenees mountain chain.
Carbonne
Behind its major shopping streets, Carbonne is a treasure trove waiting to be discovered, where every street and every neighbourhood reveals a fascinating history. We recommend visiting on Sunday morning to enjoy the most beautiful market in Volvestre! Every Sunday, the market becomes a real meeting place, where producers, artisans and artists share their expertise in a warm and friendly atmosphere.


Longages
Longages is a place steeped in history and tradition, and it’s easy to see why people love it for its beautiful surroundings and rich heritage.
Discover the Longages market hall, which blends agricultural traditions with modernity. It stands out for its Art Deco style, which gives it a unique charm.
Keep going and look for four towers reaching up to the sky. There it is, the famous Château de Longages-Comminges. Dating back to the 15th century, its Renaissance style reflects the artistic influence of the time. You can visit it during cultural events or on European Heritage days.
Noé
Take the time to discover the ancient city of Noé, forged by the powerful lords of Noé-Montaut. The history of Noé is revealed on every street corner; come and see his magnificent house in Pardailhan, his church, his castles, and his World War II internment camp. The latter was located in the communes of Noé, Mauzac, and Le Fauga to house Spanish Republicans and Jews who were victims of anti-Semitic policies. A memorial now honors the memory of the victims.
By visiting Noé, you will discover a varied architectural heritage and open a door to a part of history.


mauzac
Located further north, this fortified town has preserved a beautiful architectural heritage from its past. Explore this charming village to discover: the church and its bell tower, the market hall, the castle of the Maltese ladies, the largest collection of rugby jerseys in Europe, and breathtaking views !
Between history and innovation, Mauzac proudly hosts one of the sites of the National Office for Aerospace Studies and Research.
