La retenue de Manciès

The Manciès reservoir is a place where the Garonne River stretches out to its full width, to the delight of all.

Near Salles-sur-Garonne, you can enjoy a picnic table while admiring the wonderful landscape of the Garonne River, its moored boats, and the magnificent Pyrenees.

This landscape evokes calm and serenity. The sea continues its journey toward the sky, becoming one with it.

Pesquiès’Mill

The Pesquiès’mill, a former windmill in Saint-Sulpice-sur-Volvestre, offers breathtaking views of the bastide, the surrounding hillsides, and the Pyrenees mountain range.

Take advantage of this iconic heritage site to admire the sunsets or enjoy a delicious picnic at the tables provided.

The Castera orientation table

The Castera orientation table guides you as you discover the Pyrenees mountain range stretching out before you. On sunny days, the peaks of Ariège and Haut-Garonne reveal themselves to you, unveiling their secrets.

You can see the town of Montesquieu-Volvestre with its church, which is a listed historical monument, and the typical architecture of an old fortified town.

This orientation table is located on the Castera hiking trail, but you can also get there by car.

At the start of the “Chemin de Montaut” hike, this orientation table reveals the landscape of the valley and the Pyrenees mountain range. During the hike, you can also enjoy panoramic views of the Garonne River and its valley.
