Discover Caminada: over 600 walks accessible by train across Occitanie, with three already in the Volvestre region !

What if your next hike started at the station?
That’s the aim of Caminada, an innovative platform that makes it easier to access the most beautiful trails in Occitanie without needing a car.
Created by Paul Janisson, a keen hiker based in Toulouse, this free interactive map brings together data on SNCF stations and hiking routes in a single tool. The result: over 600 routes accessible by train, allowing you to explore the region in a simple, practical and sustainable way.
Accustomed to travelling by train to reach the starting points of his hikes, Paul Janisson devised a solution that promotes sustainable transport whilst making it easier to explore the region
A free and handy platform
Find the hike that’s right for you!
Whether you enjoy leisurely walks or are keen on sporting challenges, Caminada helps you find the perfect route. In just a few clicks, you can select your criteria: departure station, distance, duration, difficulty level or elevation gain.

Caminada is completely free and continues to be expanded with new data and new routes. Eventually, the platform could even extend beyond the borders of Occitanie to offer nature lovers ever more opportunities to get away from it all.
Each walk is accompanied by detailed information, a precise route map and an elevation profile to help you plan your outing as effectively as possible. Today, the platform is fully committed to sustainable tourism by encouraging visitors to choose the train as their preferred means of transport when visiting the region’s natural areas.
